jiāng shān yì gǎi, běn xìng nán yí
Literally: A leopard cannot change its spots.
Idem to say:
江河山川的面貌容易改变，一个人的性格、习性却很难改变。
Rivers and mountains may be changed, but it’s hard to change a person’s nature.
