At this point White can try the Evans Gambit with more success than in any other position, because, if Black accepts, the attacker will easily win back the Pawn with excellent game, or at least will force Black to defend himself in an extremely difficult and dangerous situation. 5. ... Bxb4 6. c3 Ba5 7. d4 exd4 8. Qb3 Qe7 9. e5 dxe5. If, instead, he takes with the Knight, White takes the Knight with the Knight, then he gives check with the Queen at b5 winning the Bishop. 10.
