David and Goliath

Lviv, Friday, May 1, 2015: The Chairman of Lviv Regional State Administration Oleg Synyutka meets the 15th Women’s World Chess Champion Mariya Muzychuk. She was accompanied by her parents and her sister Anna.

During the meeting in the office of Head of Lviv Regional Council Peter Kolodiy, Synyutka said that within ten days he will meet the heads of FIDE to discuss the right of the Ukraine – and of Lviv in particular – of hosting the next Women’s World Chess Championship match.
Only two countries have so far advanced their bid: China and Ukraine.
