Seventy years ago, 闫正明 (Yàn Zhèngmíng) married 周素清 (Zhōu Sùqīng) in 渠县 (Qú Xiàn) county, 达州 (Dázhōu), China. At the time, the couple couldn’t afford a wedding ceremony, so last May – on their anniversary – charity groups organised a ceremony at their home, fulfilling a lifelong wish of the pair who are now in their nineties.
