Michael Adams saved himself from elimination with a crushing victory over Viktor Láznička of the Czech Republic in the second game of their second-round match at the FIDE World Cup.
Adams blundered a Pawn in the first game, lost, and had to win the return to stay in the match.
The contest now goes to a two-game Rapid Chess tie-break with 25 minutes each and an increment of 10 seconds per move. [Read more].
