And so it starts today the “Match Bicontinental de Ajedrez” beetween 侯逸凡 (Hóu Yìfán) from China and Chilean International Master Cristóbal Henríquez Villagra, who became widely known after eliminating Boris Abramovich Gelfand in the first round of the 6th Chess World Cup in Baku, Azerbaijan. The event, conceived and promoted by the former President of the United States Chess Federation Beatriz Mansilla Marinello, and organised by Punta Arenas Mayor Emilio Boccazzi, and Region of Magallanes and Chilean Antarctica Intendant Jorge Flies Anon, will take place in Punta Arenas and Antártica, Chile, from February 5–10.
