徐俊 (Xú Jùn) – 徐英伦 (Xú Yīnglún)
51st Chinese Chess Championship; 兴化 (Xīnghuà), April 17, 2016
Queen’s Gambit Declined D37

1. d4 d5 2. c4 e6 3. Nf3 Nf6 4. Nc3 Be7 5. Bf4 c6 6. e3 Nh5 7. Be5 Nd7 8. Be2 Nxe5 9. dxe5 g6 10. Qd2. It is worth considering 10. Qb3 Qb6 11. Qc2 Ng7 12. 0-0 f5 13. exf6 Bxf6 14. e4 with consequences similar to those of the game, Ovetchkin – Efanov, Nizhny Tagil 2007. 10. ... f5 11. exf6 Nxf6 12. 0-0 0-0 13. Rad1 Qc7 14. h3 Rd8 15. Qc2 Kg7 16. e4 dxe4 17. Nxe4 Bd7? A fatal slip as Black Knight’s gonna get into grave trouble. Deserving consideration was 17. ... e5 in order to answer 18. Ng3 by 18. ... Rxd1 19. Rxd1 Be6 eventually followed by ... Ra8-d8. 18. Qc3! h6 19. c5! Be8

20. Rd6! A very pretty coup after which Black is irrevocably stuck. 20. ... Bf7. The Rook is obviously taboo, for if 20. ... Bxd6 then 21. Qxf6+ and wins. 21. Nh2! 1 : 0. The threat is Nh2-g4 and if 21. ... h5 then 22. g4 finis.
