The newly elected Mayor of Sesto Fiorentino Lorenzo Falchi is about to nominate four women and three men (they are all at their first experience) as administrators of the new city council, plus the renowned historian of art Tomaso Montanari as a special counselor. Mr. Falchi – a left-wing leader – and his city governance will have to deal with two “threats” coming from the near city of Prato, whose administrators had already selected Sesto Fiorentino for being the site of both the planned incinerator and the planned airport extensions.
