Sesto Fiorentino Mayor Lorenzo Falchi immediately congratulated Niccolò Campriani on his gold in the men’s 10m air rifle at 31st Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. “It was a heartbreaking afternoon for all Sesto Fiorentino”, Falchi said. “We all followed with trepidation the rush which brought a splendid result to the Italian sport and filled our town with pride. Of Sesto Fiorentino’s origin, Florence-born, Campi Bisenzio’s adopted: it is really the victory of the whole Piana. We’re gonna celebrate him when he’ll come back, and we hope with all our hearts that we’ll celebrate his second gold, too! Come on, Niccolò!”.
