FIDE President Kirsan Nikolayevich Ilyumzhinov, celebrated his birthday, almost immediately followed up his statement of April 6, 2017 by cancelling the extraordinary Presidential Board meeting called by the other members for Monday, April 10, 2017. “I cancelled the meeting”, he told R-Sport by phone on April 7, 2017, adding that it won’t be rescheduled any time.
