In the early afternoon of February 6, 2018, as a corollary of their “Belt and Road” chess showdown, 侯逸凡 (Hóu Yìfán) and Anatoly Yevgenyevich Karpov took over the exhibition area of the National Youth “Star of the Future” Winter Sunshine Sports Convention in 哈尔滨 (Hā’ěrbīn), China where, for the joy of children and parents alike, they gave a demonstration-performance on a giant chessboard on ice.
