The battle is like Don Quixote’s fight with windmills. Women’s don’t have a fair chance to compete in chess – in fact they don’t have a Women’s World Chess Championship either. Facing them, Turkish poet Nâzım Hikmet would say, “a world of silly and arrogant giants”, which leaves them the choice – whether they want to make a bid for playing each other on the roulette wheel or instead they prefer not to play at all.
