Back to the “Belt and Road” for the 6-game rapid match between 12th World Chess Champion Anatoly Yevgenyevich Karpov and four-time Women’s World Chess Champion 侯逸凡 (Hóu Yìfán), which will start tomorrow at the Ice and Snow World 呼兰河口湿地公园 (Hūlán River Mouth Wetland Park) in 哈尔滨 (Hā’ěrbīn), China. 侯逸凡 (Hóu Yìfán) herself drew the colours for the first game and, judging from appearances, she might have felt lucky for beginning the showdown with Black, unlicke her 2010 first match with Karpov. The schedule of the “2018 Sino-Russian Chess Champions Showdown” is as follows: tomorrow (February 5) opening ceremony (14,00) and first four games (from 14,30 to 17,30); the day after tomorrow (February 6) fifth and sixth games (from 10,00 to 11,00), followed by a demonstration-performance on chess on ice (14,00).
