Red Thread of Fate

For the first time since being detained in Curitiba, Brazil, former Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva reappeared in video conference on June 6 to speak as a presidential candidate in the next Brazilian general election. In the meantime, the United Nations Human Rights Committee agreed to investigate whether Brazilian federal judge Sérgio Fernando Moro committed abuses and violations in his circumstantial case against Lula.
