Chinese contemporary artist 艾未未 (Ài Wèiwèi)
denounced through his Instagram account that last Friday authorities razed his studio “左右” (“Zuǒ Yòu”) — which has been his favourite work space since 2006 — in the north-east 北京 Běijīng suburbs without any prior warning, apparently with the purpose of building commercial malls in its place.
