A plethora of “Stars of American Ballet”, including Daniel Ulbricht, Teresa Reichlen, Ask la Cour, Sterling Hyltin, Adrian Danchig-Waring, Indiana Woodward and Gonzalo García will take part in a two-night gala performance at the upcoming 26th International Ballet Festival of Havana on October 29–30 at Havana’s Mella Theatre.
The 26th recurrence of the Festival, named in honour of Cuba’s legendary prima ballerina assoluta Alicia Alonso, 97 — still today the director of the Ballet Nacional de Cuba — will be held at Gran Teatro de La Habana Alicia Alonso in Havana, Cuba from October 28 to November 6, 2018 with the participation of dancers and companies from all over the world. This year’s edition marks the 70th anniversary of the foundation of the Ballet Nacional de Cuba as well as the 75th anniversary of the stage début of Alicia Alonso in the classic Giselle. |
