If nothing else, one secret will stay buried in the library of Salamanca University, as 侯逸凡 (Hóu Yìfán) succeeded in scoring the consolation goal on her last round game against the winner of last year’s inaugural edition of the “Torneo Magistral”, Veselin Aleksandrov Topalov, by turning a very drawish Queen and Knight (♀) vs. Queen and Bishop (♂) ending into a winning bet, and thus finishing in fourth place behind Eduardo Patricio Iturrizaga Bonelli, Ruslan Olegovich Ponomariov, and Miguel Santos Ruiz.
