Presences and Absences

According to a report by Evgeny Anatolyevich Surov for the most popular Russian web site Chess-News.ru, the Women’s World Chess title challenger, Aleksandra Yuryevna Goryachkina, relies upon the aid of at least three Grandmasters, namely: Konstantin Yuryevich Landa, Evgeniy Yuryevich Najer, and Sergei Vladimirovich Rublevsky. Indeed, Landa has been helping Goryachkina since last spring, and he’s also known for being a regular counsellor of the so-called “FIDE Fair Play Commission” and “FIDE Anti-Cheating Committee”, which might even be a matter of speculation, especially considering that the fourth stage of the FIDE Women’s Grand Prix 2019–2020 was announced to be held in “Sardinia”.
For now, nothing is officially known about 居文君 (Jū Wénjūn) still, but, even in this case, if the camera’s eye does not lie, 上海 (Shànghǎi)’s Grandmaster 倪华 (Ní Huá) is yet a taken-for-granted presence in her daily life. Photo: Eteri Kublashvili/Russian Chess Federation.
