Voices from Far Away

Having to wait to announce the name of the challenger for the World Chess Championship 2020, for the moment the Fédération Internationale des Échecs (FIDE) appointed the voices of the chorus who will tell us the tales of the “Magnificent Eight”’s adventures in Yekaterinburg via a grand style three-language live broadcast: Grandmasters Judit Polgár, Daniel John King, and Evgenij Vitalievich Miroshnichenko will take care of the English-speaking public; Grandmaster Sergey Yuryevich Shipov will enlighten the Russian-speaking masses; and, last but not least, four-time Women’s World Chess Champion and Rhodes Scholar 侯逸凡 (Hóu Yìfán) and Grandmaster 彭肇勤 (Péng Zhàoqín) will entertain the worldwide Chinese-speaking audiences.
