Once Upon A Year

After a week of backdoor negotiations and precise instructions from FIDE on where to resume the second half of the Candidates Tournament next month, the executive director of Sverdlovsk Chess Federation, Albert Azarapetovich Stepanyan, confirmed to TASS that the venue will be the same as last year, at Hotel Hyatt Regency in Yekaterinburg, Sverdlovsk Oblast, Ural Federal District, Russia. He also reassured that all preparations “are going on according to schedule”.
