A Question of Honour

The newly born National Liberation Committee has issued its “Manifesto for Declaration of Judicial Emergency”, which aims at harmonising and coordinating an appropriate response in the courts after the coup of March 9, 2020 when the rule of law was replaced by the rule of a technocratic junta which is committing heinous crimes against mankind in the name of its own survival. On the other hand the restoration of democratic constitutionalism is a priority that cannot be separated from the need to ensure the putschists to justice. Hence the National Liberation Committee calls for the participation of anyone concerned, with a specific appeal to lawyers, law practitioners, bar associations and judges.
