Speaking with Radiotochka NSN, President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP), Alexander Nikolayevich Shokhin, commented on the strategy of visibility and of invisibility behind FIDE President Arkady Vladimirovich Dvorkovich’s last stances, which earned him the charge of high treason by most loyalists. “I don’t think Dvorkovich was forced to resign from Skolkovo. Depoliticisation might have been called for in order to comply with common standards of professionality and independence”, Shokin said. “Dvorkovich’s resignation also involves a reduction of risk for Skolkovo. He already has to deal enough with such problems and risks as FIDE President. He did not vote to ban our players, and at the same time he did not interfere”. |
