The In-Between Hours

“We are quite optimistic for tomorrow’s tie-break as 谭中怡 (Tán Zhōngyí) has had good experiences with it in the previous rounds, and we hope that her lucky star will keep shining on. The team will be well prepared; let’s hope for a good day”, the head coach of the Chinese women’s team Grandmaster 余少腾 (Yú Shǎoténg) told 陈金铎 (Chén Jīnduó) of sports.sina.com.cn.

On the other hand, Anna Muzychuk holds both the titles of Rapid and Blitz Women’s World Chess Champion, so, at least in theory, she should be favourite to win. However, such a raffle is bound to be unpredictable, and, as so often is the case with the favourite, Anna may have more to lose than her opponent. But, after all, it’s a very light burden compared with what awaits her if she will become Women’s World Champion.
