Here are the three medal winners of the 18th European Individual Women’s Chess Championship ended today in Riga, Latvia: gold medal to Nana Dzagnidze from Georgia (first picture from above), silver to the young and very gifted Aleksandra Yuryevna Goryachkina from Russia (second picture from above), and bronze to Alisa Mikhailovna Galliamova from Russia (third picture from above). Most curiously, the gold winner heard the national anthem of Georgia from the European Chess Union (ECU) President Zurab Azmaiparashvili’s smartphone (first picture from above).
