In spite of her disappointing result at the recent 19th European Individual Women’s Chess Championship in Vysoké Tatry, Slovakia, former Women’s World Champion Mariya Olehivna Muzychuk, who placed 14th by virtue of having the best tie-breaks of the twelve players tied at 7 points, eventually took the last available spot for qualifying at the next Knockout Women’s World Chess Championship Tournament.
