On Sunday, November 21, 2021, four-time Women’s World Chess Champion 侯逸凡 (Hóu Yìfán) appeared as guest star on stage and backstage at the 20th “荔园杯” (“Lìyuán Cup”), an annual scholastic chess tournament held at 通新岭校区 (Tōngxīnlǐng Campus) of 荔园小学 (Lìyuán Primary School) in 深圳 (Shēnzhèn), China. For the sake of the young pupils, the special appearance included, as icing on the cake, a 24-board simultaneous exhibition which the royal guest performed with her habitual care and kindness.
