“My first tournée Indonesia ended successfully. I visited the Adianto (Indonesia’s first Grandmaster) chess school and Universitas Gunadarma in Jakarta. I was able to reach a public of all ages and backgrounds from all over Indonesia through various formats, including simultaneous exhibitions, lectures and Q&As. Although the Indonesian chess movement is not one of the most prominent in Asia, the popularity of the game among the people is however quite wide”, 侯逸凡 (Hóu Yìfán) wrote on the eve of Christmas, summarising his experience in Indonesia.
