If you want something done right, do it yourself

Today, December 2, it starts in Lviv the 84th Ukrainian Chess Championship. The competition will last twelve days. The playing list includes eleven of the strongest Ukrainian male Grandmasters and only one girl, Women’s World Chess Champion Mariya Muzychuk who, being quite unsupported by the world’s chess élite (to put it euphemistically), thus prepares herself for the upcoming Women’s World Chess Championship match. The venue of the 84th Ukrainian Chess Championship is the three-star Lviv’s Volter Hotel. It’s not indeed the most expensive hotel in the world, but at least here, one doesn’t run the risk of sharing the breakfast buffet with the aristocracy of chess. Photo: 2015.ukrchess.com.
