It took a mechanical engineer, Chiara Angelini (right), and a conservator-restorer, Valentina Trafeli (left), to fail to open a wine bottle with a vintage corkscrew, but, luckily, the mother of one of the other dancers lived close enough for them to hear their pleas for help.
