Particular thanks to all those who today came to Associazione Culturale “Il Delta della Luna” — indeed a dance school! — to challenge or confirm what Paul Charles Morphy is reputed to have said one hundred and sixty-one years ago: “Chess never has been and never can be aught but a recreation. It should not be indulged in to the detriment of other and more serious avocations”.
