Four-time Women’s World Chess Champion 侯逸凡 (Hóu Yìfán) was one of the six special guests invited to deliver their lectures at the educational TV program “Champions Talk: From the Arena to the Workplace”, co-produced by the Peking University Youth League Committee and China Education Television (CETV) and recorded on 17–19 October at 李莹厅 (Lǐyíng Hall), Peking University.
侯逸凡 (Hóu Yìfán) shared with the audience her journey from first learning chess to winning the Women’s World Championship, and her career transition from World Chess Queen to University Professor in what she now regards as her highest intellectual accomplishment. 侯逸凡 (Hóu Yìfán) observed that competition is a process of constantly understanding the gap between ideals and reality, as well as the difficulty of ruthless competition. The road to success is full of obstacles and opportunities, but persistence allows one to succeed. In her teaching class she lays particular emphasis on physical and educational development and artificial intelligence technology so as to help her students deeply understand and explore themselves and life through chess.
