WHERE WAS 侯逸凡 (HÓU YÌFÁN)? When rescheduled dates were finally announced for March 2015, it became clear that several top ten players were unable to participate for personal reasons. The most unexpected refusal was that of reigning World Champion and clear number one on the rating list, 侯逸凡 (Hóu Yìfán), to defend her title. Since the Chinese star already had the right to play the November 2015 World Championship match as the Grand Prix-winner, we had the peculiar situation where the name of the challenger became known before that of the World Champion!
