Yesterday, December 10, 2015, the thanks of the President of Russia Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin were presented to Ukrainian-born Grandmaster Ekaterina Aleksandrovna Lagno by the presidential adviser Igor Yevgeniyevich Levitin, thus particularly emphasising her contribution to Russia team’s victory at the 41st Women’s World Chess Olympiad in Tromsø, Norway, in 2014. The ceremony was held at the Russian Olympic Committee in Moscow, and was attended by the Russian Chess Federation’s President Andrey Vasilievich Filatov, who handed Ekateryna Aleksandrovna a bouquet of roses in congratulating her.
