Concurrently with the 15th anniversary celebration of the national beauty brand Natural Church CHANDO – already official partner of China’s diving superstars – held at 上海 (Shànghăi) World Expo Exhibition and Convention Centre on September 5, 2016, cosmetics leader Garan Group Chairman 郑春影 (Zhèng Chūn-yǐng) rewarded China’s Olympic diving team with ¥1,000,000 元/圆 (yuán) (about €133,110 €uros) in order to support their future goals, from now until 2020 Summer Olympics.
吴敏霞 (Wú Mǐnxiá), interviewed by 刘艾林 (Liú Àilín) for 上海专电 (Shànghăi News), appeared a bit more fatalistic about the early retirement issue: “I just want a good rest. I don’t know whether I will retire or not. I don’t know whether I will participate in the 2017 World Aquatics Championships or not. When I’ll know it, I’ll tell you”, she said.
