Impatiently waiting for the second half of the Candidates Tournament, which is scheduled to resume on November 1 (Day of the Dead) in Yekaterinburg (where it was halted last winter due to the COVID-19 pandemic), American Grandmaster Fabiano Caruana is going to put himself to the test “over the board” at least two times in a short time. From September 16–20, 2020 he will defend the colours of OSG Baden-Baden in an 8-team tournament for the 46th SchachBundesliga in Karlsruhe, Germany, while from October 5–16 he will star in the 8th Norway Chess in Stavanger, Norway. A tale of two seasons and the hope for a trilogy.
