So four-time Women’s World Chess Champion 侯逸凡 (Hóu Yìfán) has finally arrived in Corsica, warmly welcomed by the founder of the Lega Corsa di Scacchi (Ligue Corse d’Échecs), Léo Battesti (left), and its President, Akkha Vilaisarn (right). She will be on a very tight schedule which allows little or no free time. On Friday she will attend as a guest of honour the awarding ceremony the 10th International Open Marina Viva de Purtichju. On Saturday she will be in Quenza where she is going to take on eighteen opponents herself in a simultaneous exhibition. And finally on Sunday she will play as top seed at the 14h International Blitz Open in Quenza. May God save the queen. Photo: Léo Battesti. |
