On the evening of September 18, 2016, a delegation of 上海 (Shànghăi)’s Olympic athletes, including 徐莉佳 (Xú Lìjiā), 钟天使 (Zhōng Tiānshǐ), 黃雪辰 (Huáng Xuěchén), 曹忠荣 (Cáo Zhōngróng), and Olympic Goddess 吴敏霞 (Wú Mǐnxiá) participated in a TED conference ("人生赛道" – “Pathway of Life”) staged at the 上海 (Shànghǎi) Children’s Art Theatre, where they shared their past glory and their current and future life plans with the varied audiences attending the lecture. Speaking about her future, 吴敏霞 (Wú Mǐnxiá) expressed her need to have a deeper knowledge and understanding of the physical and metaphorical world around her, since so far her life has been focused on diving solely. She also answered – quite exceptionally – questions on her private life: “When will I get married? Well, don’t ask me, I don’t know, ask someone else [laughs]. It’s up to him to say it, he is the boy. As for myself, I am the girl and I won’t be too apprehensive”. |
Today afternoon, Olympic Goddess 吴敏霞 (Wú Mǐnxiá) leaded a delegation of 上海 (Shànghăi)’s Olympic athletes, including 高磊 (Gāo Lěi), 汤梦妮 (Wáng Mèngnī), and 邵婷 (Shào Tíng) to a meeting with the civil and administrative society of the 徐汇区 (Xúhuì District), 上海 (Shànghăi), China, where, in fact, they all were both born and grew up. Thus they shared their memories and experiences as young sports practitioners with a passionate audience of students and teachers. It was then reported by 奚亮 (Lǐ Liàng) of eastday.com that the administrators of the 徐汇区 (Xúhuì District) planned to build a new massive three-level sport centre (as well as other sport infrastructures) in the area within 2020. Today in the morning 吴敏霞 (Wú Mǐnxiá) lead the delegation of 上海 (Shànghăi)’s Olympic athletes to visit the 东方明珠塔 (Oriental Pearl Radio & TV Tower), 浦东新区 (Pǔdōng New Area), 上海 (Shànghăi), in order to promote and develop the raise of organized and recreational sport in all urban districts, so that the city may become the base where sport is organized, supported, managed and specialized.
