If yesterday was the first day of spring (and the International Day of Happiness as well), today — even more importantly — is the International Tiramisu Day, so enjoy it!
Tiramisu (Italian: Tiramisù) is a dessert made of coffee-soaked ladyfingers (savoiardi), with mascarpone cheese, cocoa powder, eggs, liqueur, and sugar. Its Italian name, Tiramisù, means “pick me up”, “cheer me up” or “lift me up”, perhaps a reference to the effect of the caffeine and cocoa powder used in the recipe. Photo: Saerinne/DeviantArt. |
