On July 20, 2019 officials of 陕西省体育局 (Shǎnxī Provincial Sports Bureau) announced in a press conference that the inaugural “一带一路” (“One Belt One Road”) Women’s World Chess Summit will be held in 西安 (Xī’ān), the oldest of the Four Great Ancient Capitals of China, very likely before the end of year, featuring three Chinese women, including four-time Women’s World Chess Champion 侯逸凡 (Hóu Yìfán), and five women coming from East Europe and Southeast Asia.
