There are no taxis in the sea

An Italian examining judge of Agrigento ruled that the charges against Carola Rackete (pictured above as leaves court after she was arrested for forcing her way into a Sicilian port carrying migrants she had rescued off the Libyan coast) did not hold water, so to say, because, in leading the migrants to Lampedusa, she obeyed to international humanitarian law. That means that the Sea-Watch 3 humanitarian ship’s skipper is free to go and... leave the country, as the same authorities which put her under house arrest have already issued an expulsion order for her. However, even the new “edict” will have to be approved by the judicial authorities. Photo: Giovanni Isolino/AFP/Getty Images.
