New York’s progressive Democrat Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tolled the bell for her party fellows with a tweet that includes a Big Bang: “To get the virus under control, we need to pay people to stay home”. Who knows, maybe, under the effect of such a shocking suggestion, a bipartisan deal on a second stimulus check might be eventually blessed by all the more moderate of both parties as a final victory of capitalism over socialism.
