This year also, according to a by now consolidated tradition, the Saint Louis Chess Club will host, from September 7–10, 2023, its 6th Champions Showdown: Chess 9LX — that is the commercial name with which they promote Bobby Fischer’s chess960 (a.k.a. Fischerandom chess) — featuring an all-star lineup including, among others, world’s No. 2 and No. 3 Fabiano Caruana and Hikaru Nakamura, as well as 13th World Chess Champion Garry Kimovich Kasparov.
