Flashback
The First Lady of the United States Melania Trump made a surprise visit to the U.S.–Mexico border a day after U.S. President retreated on his “zero tolerance” immigration policy signing an executive order to end the separation of migrant children from their parents. The First Lady took part in briefings and attended a tour of a “nonprofit social services center for children who have entered the United States illegally and a customs and border patrol processing center”, according to a statement from her office. Earlier in the day, while boarding a plane to Texas, the First Lady appeared to be wearing a $39 khaki green Zara jacket provocatively reading “I really don’t care. Do u?”, which she then removed during the visit. Photo: Mandel Ngan/AFP/Getty Images.

The Importance of Not Being Arcovazzi
“In the past six weeks, nearly two thousand children have been forcibly separated from their parents”, United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Prince Zeid bin Ra’ad Zeid al-Hussein (pictured above) said in his opening speech to the 38th session of the Human Rights Council in Geneva, Switzerland opposing the U.S. Border Security and Immigration Reform Act. Mr. Zeid also said that the American Academy of Pediatrics in the United States called it a cruel practice of “government-sanctioned child abuse” which may cause “irreparable harm” with “lifelong consequences”.
