Photos captured the intimate, historic meeting between Pope Francis and Fidel Castro Sunday.
The images show the leader of the Catholic Church, who is 78, exchanging gifts with the 89-year old Cuban revolutionary after a Mass that drew hundreds of thousands of people in Havana.
Castro and Pope Francis grasp hands and exchange laughs, as shown in images of their private meeting. The pope wears traditional papal garb while Castro wears an Adidas track jacket. The meeting lasted about 30 minutes and included Castro’s wife and some of his extended family.
The pope gave Castro a book that the Argentine-born Jesuit wrote. Vatican spokesman Frederico Lombardi described the meeting as a “very informal conversation”. [Read more].

马馼：我并不是薄熙来案专案组组长

        过去的一年，纪检监察部门掀起反腐风暴。京华时报独家于3月7日专访曾经作为中纪委副书记、监察部长的全国人大代表马馼。被问及过去在纪检监察战线的工作，她借机主动澄清网络传言，指出自己确曾参与刘志军案调查，从事具体工作，但并不是薄熙来案专案组组长。那么谁是薄熙来专案组组长呢？
        京华时报：网络有盘点您办了很多大的案子，包括薄熙来案、刘志军案……很多网络消息说您是薄熙来案专案组的组长?
        马馼：“不不，我得澄清一下。首先，这些大案都是在党中央的领导下查办的，而我只是参与调查刘志军案件，做一些具体的工作。大家可能觉得我是在部长的位置上，当时的大案都是我在办，其实不然，薄熙来案的调查另有他人，我并不是薄熙来案专案组组长。”
