President of Ukraine Petro Oleksiyovych Poroshenko awarded the 15th Women’s World Chess Champion Mariya Muzychuk with the national Order “For Merit”. “I am proud that a true Ukrainian has become the World Champion, the chess queen. I am sure that you will have a lot of victories in the future. Thank you”, the President said. Mariya Muzychuk thanked the President for his kind words and noted that not only Ukrainians or representatives of other countries, but also Russians had been supporting her. During the meeting, Mariya Muzychuk and her parents proposed Ukraine and Lviv to submit a bid for holding the match against former Women’s World Champion 侯逸凡 (Hóu Yìfán) from China.
