History doesn’t repeat itself

On April 21, 2016, thousands of people took to the streets in 海盐县 (Hǎiyán County), 浙江省 (Zhèjiāng province), to protest against the waste incineration. Massive clashes broke out between police and the unarmed protesters. Police forces reportedly used water cannons, tear gas, batons, rubber bullets, pepper spray, as well as any other unlawful entry to shut up the people.
