A Russian street artist who created a giant pair of spectacles from a streetlamp had been dubbed “the Russian Banksy”. Pavel Aleksandrovich Pukhov (11 August 1983 – 1 April 2013), known as P183, created eye-catching works around Moscow. P183 revealed little about himself except that his name was Pavel, and that he studied “communicative design”. Pavel 183 died on 1 April 2013. The cause of death was not released.
