The Measure of a Man
Street artist Jorit’s mural of Nelson Mandela on a building in Florence, Italy, in honour of the first President of South Africa and Nobel Peace Prize laureate. As he once said, “Education is the most powerful weapon we can use to change the world”. |

The Importance of Not Being Arcovazzi
A boy admires some of the street art that adorns many of the Aida refugee camp’s walls just outside Bethlehem. Banksy famously created the image of a white dove with a sniper target on its chest on a wall not far from here. Photo: Murad Abusrour.

Exit Enter
Pavel 183
A Russian street artist who created a giant pair of spectacles from a streetlamp had been dubbed “the Russian Banksy”. Pavel Aleksandrovich Pukhov (August 11, 1983 – April 1, 2013), known as P183, created eye-catching works around Moscow. P183 revealed little about himself except that his name was Pavel, and that he studied “communicative design”. Pavel 183 died on 1 April 2013. The cause of death was not released.
