Talking with reporters during her CHANDO’s kermesse in 沈阳 (Shěnyáng), 辽宁省 (Liáoníng province), China on October 1, 2016, 吴敏霞 (Wú Mǐnxiá) confessed that her only fear was of failing at Rio Olympics. “I was really very nervous, very anxious, very afraid; after all, it was my fourth Olympiad and I am not longer so young. Such a huge burden and pressure on me, it was a self-challenge that maybe nobody can understand”, she said. “It is always the same scene at each and every Olympic Game, all are vividly printed on my very being. I and all other athletes dreamed the same dream every time, that’s to keep standing for four years, until the next Olympics. It is a very difficult journey”. 吴敏霞 (Wú Mǐnxiá) finally said that even if her peak performance might be passed away, she has no intention of retiring. Photo: ma6r.com.
