FIDE President Arkady Vladimirovich Dvorkovich personally announced that the Women Candidates Tournament will be held in Kazan, Russia starting on May 29, 2019. 侯逸凡 (Hóu Yìfán), Anna Olehivna Muzychuk, Mariya Olehivna Muzychuk, Ekaterina Aleksandrovna Lagno, Alexandra Konstantinovna Kosteniuk, 谭中怡 (Tán Zhōngyí), Nana Dzagnidze, and Valentina Evgenyevna Gunina are entitled to participate, with Aleksandra Yuryevna Goryachkina in reserve.
